Nominations to fill the vacant seat on Douglas Council closes at 5pm tonight (Friday).

The vacancy in the Derby ward and comes after Ferdinand Pabellan stepped down due to ill health.

If more than one person comes forward, a by-election will be held on Thursday, August 9.

For anyone considering a last-minute dash to gather nominations, nomination papers can be collected from Douglas Town Hall.
