The Programme for Government is slightly ahead of schedule - and the Chief Minister says he is confident that it will meet all its targets.

An annual report tracking progress on the five-year Programme says 30 of the 93 actions identified across departments, boards and offices have been tackled in the first year. That means 32% have been completed.

Of the remaining 60 actions, 72% are on target for completion within the set timescale. Some 23% are in ’amber status’ meaning additional support may be needed in the future but any issues are currently being handled by the project team.

Finally, 5% are in red meaning there is a risk of not meeting the timescale and issues have been escalated.

Mr Quayle said: ’I’m still confident we can get there. We are slightly ahead of schedule. You have to set youself targets.

’We can’t be complacent. I’ve said time and time again that off-island events can have a significant impact on the Programme for Government.’
