The government’s initiative to entice more people to the Isle of Man has launched an email newsletter.

Locate Isle of Man wants to keep what it calls the island’s ’global network’ in touch with the Isle of Man.

The monthly ’Isle of Man Living’ newsletter will give updates for people who have an interest in the Isle of Man, wherever they may be based.

The government says it will be light-hearted and highlight Manx news and relocation stories and provide tips and key guidance for relocating people and businesses.

The Minister for Enterprise, Laurence Skelly MHK, said: ’Isle of Man Living will act as an important anchor for those who may be currently living away from the island but still remain a key part of the Manx diaspora, and wish to stay in touch with the island’s local community.’

The first edition of Isle of Man Living covered the relocation story of Suzie Skelding, who returned to the island after 17 years after seeking a better quality of life for her family. She has since progressed in her nursing career, advancing from a band 5 to band 7 while working in the island.

The newsletter also featured the launch of the new Manx Culinary Apprentice Scheme, an article uncovering eight Isle of Man myths and information on the National Insurance holiday.

Locate Isle of Man highlights the benefits of living and working in the Isle of Man to people in the UK and further afield.
