A review of how the island deals with domestic abuse is taking place.
Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey said: ’A domestic abuse needs assessment report was recently commissioned into the frequency and propensity of domestic abuse and the provision of domestic violence services on the island.
’A cross-departmental implementation group is now looking at how appropriate domestic abuse services, which address the needs of both the perpetrator and the victims of domestic abuse can be organised and delivered.’
The group would examine the success of the UK’s domestic violence disclosure scheme.
