The government is set to carry out a review next year of whether current polling stations are in the right place.
Legislation is due to be introduced that will force the Cabinet Office to review polling arrangements two years before a House of Keys general election - although that is not yet law.
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas said: ’While that legislation is not yet in place it is good electoral practice to regularly assess the number, location and suitability of the island’s polling districts, polling places and polling stations. Consequently, the Cabinet Office will be carrying out a review early next year in order to gauge public opinion about the current arrangements and to invite suggestions for alternative polling places.’
