The chief minister has said there will be an announcement in the coming days about support for those struggling with holiday hunger.
Garff MHK Daphne Caine asked Chief Minister Alfred Cannan what support is planned to mitigate the impact of holiday hunger during the school Christmas holidays in a House of Keys sitting this morning.
He said he had consulted with the Treasury Minister to determine what support was in place and explained there would be an announcement in the next few days.
Mr Cannan said he understood it was a ’difficult’ time with the price of heating increasing and inflation rates going up.
