There are 29 teachers in the Isle of Man - out of 614 on full time employment - who take home more than £50,000.
The biggest proportion of teachers - 202 full-time and one part-time - take home between £30,000 and £35,000.
Forty-three full-time teachers take home £20,000 or less.
Mr Cregeen reveals the figures in a written answer to a question tabled by Jason Moorhouse (Arbory, Castletown and Malew), who requested a breakdown of what pay teachers took home.
There are 375 primary school teachers and 420 secondary school teachers, plus 123 lecturers employed at University College Isle of Man.
Of those, 614 teachers are full-time, with 181 teachers/lecturers on part-time contracts.
In terms of how much they take home, after the deduction of National Insurance, income tax and superannuation, Mr Cregeen divided them into the following categories:
43 full-time and 116 part-time teachers on £20,000 or under;
65 full-time and 40 part-time teachers on £20,001 to £25,000;
163 full-time and 24 part-time teachers on £25,001 to £30,000;
202 full-time and one part-time teachers on £30,001 to £35,000;
66 full-time teachers on £35,001 to £40,000;
31 full-time teachers on £40,001 to £45,000;
15 full-time teachers on £45,001 to £50,000;
14 full-time teachers on £50,001 to £55,000;
Two full-time teachers on £55,001 to £60,000;
Seven full-time teachers on £60,001 to £65,000;
Three full-time teachers on £65,001 to £70,000;
One full-time teachers on £70,001 to £75,000;
Two full-time teachers on £75,001 and over.
Mr Cregeen commented: ’Clearly individual’s circumstances vary but a teacher with annual take-home pay of £25,000 is likely to have a salary of approximately £35,000 and a teacher take-home pay of £35,000 could represent a salary of £51,000.’
In an answer to a separate question, Mr Cregeen demonstrated that pay grades in the Isle of Man matched those for teachers in England, outside of London.
