Tynwald, along with its branches and committees, will once again be held virtually as the Legislative Buildings have closed for the lockdown.
The scheduled sittings of the House of Keys and Legislative Council were held on Wednesday.
All public proceedings can be heard through the ’listen again’ audio service on the Tynwald website at: www.tynwald.org.im/business/listen/
Next Tuesday there will be an extraordinary virtual sitting of Tynwald Court at 10am, followed by a virtual sitting of the House of Keys.
The Legislative Council will sit virtually at 10.30am on Wednesday.
Public proceedings can be heard, as usual, on Manx Radio and via the Tynwald website’s ’listen’ audio service.
The Deputy Clerk of Tynwald Jonathan King stated that all staff are now working from home except where necessary in support of virtual sittings, and the public counter is closed.
The various teams in the Clerk of Tynwald’s Office may be contacted by post and email in the normal way, as can members of Tynwald.
Telephone contact is also still possible but people are being asked to note that if they call the Legislative Buildings they will need to leave a voicemail including a telephone number, and wait for a call back.
