Manx Labour Party pair Devon Watson and Sam Hamer have been elected to Douglas Town Council after topping the polls in Thursday’s Derby Ward by-election.

Watson secured 305 votes and Hamer 251 to claim their places on the council until further elections next May.

Amanda Walker was third with 230 votes and Alan Buck fourth with 95.

The turnout was 19.6%.
