The Isle Contemporary Gallery is to open its popular post card lottery and affordable art exhibition this weekend.
From today (Thursday), the gallery will put up more than 70 small, A6 pieces of original art work, created by some of the most recognisable artists in the island, on display.
Artists including work in this year’s exhibition includes, Adam Berry, Jeremy Paul, Eve Adams, Celia Kay, Eileen Schaer, Bruno Cavellec, Nicola Dixon, Catherine James, Howard Shimmin, Gavin Carter, Aos-si Ceramics, Sally Black, Kate Summerville, Mark Kinrade and more.
They are brought ’blindly’, with people paying £25 and receiving a randomly chosen piece from the collection.
The lottery lasts for a week and any pictures left over go on general sale from Wednesday, December 15.
This weekend also sees an art market trail in Peel, with several local crafters and artists displaying their skills over two locations on Saturday and Sunday.
The Skandi Christmas fair takes place at the House of Manannan, from 10am, featuring creations by Aossi Studios, fabric craft from Cherie Collier Textiles and Amy Kay Textiles, wood carvings by MS Wood Art, Yolande Alberts, Kathryn Cain Designs and illustrators Eve Adams and Nicola Dixon.
Further down the harbour, the Dog’s Nollick craft market will feature West Coast Creations, Clararachel Jewellery, Ealee and Julie Matthews and more.
