Registration has re-opened for this weekend’s Isle Listen Tough Mucka event after it was postponed from its original date on Sunday because of adverse weather.
Ahead of the charity’s annual fundraising challenge on October 4, participants can sign up for a short time via Isle Listen’s website: https://www.islelisten.im/toughmucka/
Registration is open until 5pm on Thursday, October 1.
Event organisers are seeking additional volunteers to ensure the safe and smooth running of the obstacle race event based on Cronk Honna Road near Port Erin.

Speaking of the postponed event, Jess Knight, the charity’s events and community fundraising manager said: ‘We’d like to thank everyone for their understanding, patience and support with rescheduling our event.
‘So much work had gone into getting the event ready for the original date and we really appreciate everyone who has put time and effort into this.
‘We hope reopening registration will enable people to take part that previously would have missed out, and will also help us to recoup some costs for what is our biggest fundraising event of the year. We look forward to welcoming you all this Sunday.’
Isle Listen chief executive Andrea Chambers added: ‘Having witnessed the extensive time and effort that went into getting everything ready last week, I fully recognise and understand just how disappointing it was for the team to have no option but to defer the event.
‘The logistics of changing the date are huge and I cannot speak highly enough of the very small team of people who are currently battling through to rearrange every aspect of the event to ensure that it is a success.
‘We are very much hoping that we can match the record number of entries - 667 - and transfer most of them over to the new date.’
