Members of Castletown Commissioners and family members have made presentation to the family who run the Kowloon Chinese takeaway on Arbory Street.

They have been in the same business premises for 43 years.

The presentation citation reads: ’Many Castletown residents are aware Danny [Kwok ching Cheung} has been providing his service to us all for over 40 years from the Kowloon takeaway on Arbory Street.

’In doing so he and his family have fed many generations of Castletown families.

’Against the ever-changing streetscape and through turbulent times in Castletown, the Kowloon has reflected the town motto "Shickyrys" and stayed steadfast and earning the title of the longest running retailer in Castletown town centre.

’We the undersigned commissioners for the town of Castletown record on behalf of the residents our sincere thanks and gratitude for the service of Kwok Ching Cheung (Danny) & Sau King Cheung of the Kowloon, Arbory Street, Castletown.’
