Part of Peel promenade has been closed to pedestrians while contractors repair damage to the sea wall.
The Department of Infrastructure said that ’wave action’ had damaged a section of wall on the far end of the promenade at Marine Parade.
In order to assess the extent of the damage caused by the sea, the DoI said that contractors excavated a large hole in the walkway.
The damaged section of wall has been cordoned off to pedestrians with a sign on the railings warning of ’heavy plant movement’. while the works are carried out.
