Douglas’s Loch Promenade walkway repairs are well under way following damage caused by Storm Emma.
Department of Infrastructure minister Ray Harmer told the Examiner: ’I’ve been down to look at it and yes it looks terrible but it is largely superficial damage.
’It is being resurfaced quickly and the department and I would like to thank everyone for their patience.’
The repairs to the promenade include £30,000 for the resurfacing and £12,000 for repairs to the war memorial where railings on the sea wall were damaged.
