The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed when major roads in the island’s capital will close to allow for works on the promenade.
It also confirmed that the reversal of the one-way system on Finch Road will continue until the end of August.
The measure was introduced to enable to safe delivery access for HGV deliveries to Market Street.
Transport chiefs said that the change will remain in place to ’minimise confusion during future junction closures’ to accommodate the Douglas promenade refurbishment scheme.
Church Road Marina, which is currently closed to allow for underground work to be carried out, will reopen to traffic at 6pm on Saturday February 29 with a T-junction in place to allow traffic to merge on to the promenade.
Both Church Road Marina and Broadway will then both be open for six weeks before Broadway closes on Monday April 13. The aim is to reopen the road at the start of Practice Week Friday 29 May.
Church Road Marina will close again after TT fortnight in June and will not reopen until Manx Grand Prix fortnight in late August.
The promenade scheme is currently 10 months behind schedule with the original completion date of October this year put back to August 2021. A planned completion date has been put back from October 2020 to April 2021, then June 2021, and now August 17, 2021.
