Almost £15,000 has been raised in the island in 11 months for Save the Children’s Centenary Challenge.
A number of companies, individuals and schools across the island have held a range of events including coffee mornings, the sale of produce, and wine and canapes evenings.
A spokesman said: ’The Isle of Man has given the most generous support to Save the Children for the past 50 years and the charity is delighted to contribute to the wellbeing of children here once again.’
The challenge will close at the end of February.
’There are so many desperate situations affecting children across the world where our help really makes the difference between life and death,’ the spokesman added.
’Please continue to help and support Save the Children and make the most of these last few weeks of our Centenary Challenge.’
