The police seized more than 69kg of cannabis yesterday.

Officers say that it had street value of about £440,000.

A 30-year-old man from the Merseyside area has been charged with a number of drugs offences and will appear at Douglas court house today.

Inspector Juan Kinley said: ’The Isle of Man Constabulary is focused on keeping the island safe and will endeavour to tackle those involved in serious and organised crime targeting our island.’
