The weather forecast from the Met Office:

Today will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain at times, which will fall as sleet over higher ground and perhaps temporarily to lower levels in any heavier outbreaks. Highest temperature around 7°C but feeling much colder in the strong north to northwest wind, which will ease and turn to the east later this afternoon.

Showers will continue to affect the island this evening & tonight, moving through fairly quickly on the fresh to strong east to northeast wind. Minimum temperature near to 2°C.

Tomorrow will be bright with some sunny spells and scattered showers, which may merge into longer spells of rain at times. A moderate to fresh easterly wind with temperatures still only rising up to 8°C at best.

Any lingering rain or showers at first on Friday will soon clear leaving the rest of the day mostly dry but fairly cloudy. Turning milder with a top temperature of 11°C in a fresh to strong east to south-easterly wind.
