Ramsey Commissioners have objected to an application by M. Messham, of John Ingham Car Showroom, Derby Road, to erect a motorbike showroom on land currently used as car parking.

The application site includes land outside the gates opening onto the roundabout on Bowring Road.

Members were concerned that the proposed building would reduce visibility for vehicles accessing the roundabout from Cooperage Lane and obstruct refuse wagons.

Plans are approved or rejected by the government’s planning committee. Local authorities can express only an opinion about them.
