Three crew members from Port St Mary Lifeboat are doing the Parish Walk to raise funds for foul weather gear.
Richard Leigh, Paul Holmes and Andy Green will take on the challenge on June 17.
The new foul weather gear - costing around £600 a set - has the latest materials and technology, enabling the volunteers to continue to respond in all conditions to people in need of their assistance.
Richard has completed the Parish twice and is a Manx ’centurian’, having completed the 100 mile challenge in Castletown. Andy has completed the course on four previous occasions. Paul is entering for the first time and plans to walk to Rushen as an introduction.

The station wants to form a walking group to raise funds through taking part in other events such as the End to End.
Anyone interested should post their contact details at the lifeboat house in Port St Mary.
