Roads will close for tonight’s Manx Grand Prix practice session at 5pm.

A statement by Sergeant Gary Heaton on the police Facebook page said: ’Normally roads close at 6pm for practice sessions (as in TT Week) but today is different and roads will close at the normal time of 6pm for other practice session so it’s just today that they will close at 5pm.

’This is also a timely reminder to not only be careful but also to remember that our Roads Policing Unit have increased their working hours this week, supported by other police staff and as such please ride safely and do not drink and drive.’
