If TT is a major event then Mad Sunday must be one of its highlights as locals and visitors alike let their hair down at the many events that take place around the island.

The day kicks off on a serious note as hundreds of bikers take part in the Simon Andrews Legacy Lap to remember fallen riders.

This will be the fifth year the event has been run and it now has over 10,000 bikes involved, or 11 miles of bikes.

They will be meeting at the TT grandstand with bikes forming from 8.30am onwards.

This will be followed by a minute of bike thunder (revving of engines ) at 9.59am before the lap begins at 10am.

Spectators are welcome at the grandstand to see the riders off and there will be T-shirts on sale from the Simon Andrews Fund so that you can show your support to our fallen riders.

Then you will be spoilt for choice.

You could remain in Douglas where the funfair will be in full swing, followed by racing on Douglas beach where more than 50 competitors will be taking part on motocross and quad bikes.

Starting at 6pm, it is always a great evening with plenty of entertainment provided by the riders.

If you head west instead you will find the Peel Family Fun Day in full swing from 11am to 6pm, a massively popular event with bike stunts and beach fun for all the family.

In the north of the island you can watch the Straightliners Ramsey Sprint on Ramsey promenade, starting at 10am.

Sunday features Run What You Brung (RWUB) practice with the real thing on Tuesday (June 4).

With Monster Energy support there will be monster trucks and a DJ there plus free giveaways and more.

In the evening, also in Ramsey, there is SprintFest, a music festival taking place in Market Place.

The first band will be on at 7pm and music stops at 10.30pm.

Heading south you will find the TT Mad Sunday Vintage Rally, a display of vintage and classic tractors, machinery, cars and motorbikes organised by the Southern Vintage Engine and Tractor Club.

The event is at the Southern 100 Club, off the Castletown Bypass, starting at 9.30am.

And, if you still have any energy left by Monday it’s the Port Erin TT Day on the beach from 1pm to 10pm, featuring

some of the best motorcycle stunt acts in the UK along with a wide variety of stalls and catering available from the great selection of eateries around Port Erin.
