On the advice of a couple of Manx indie musicians, a top UK singer songwriter has included the Isle of Man as part of his solo tour later this year.
Romeo Stodart, the singer and guitarist with the Magic Numbers, is the latest big name to make an appearance at the Colby Glen, on Friday, July 17, from 7.30pm.
Romeo is being brought to the island by Rob Cope from But First Promotions, who said that a glowing recommendation from brother and sister Jack and Lily Wolter, who are one half of Penelope Isles, convinced Romeo he should pay the island a visit.
’Romeo had little hesitation coming to the island, as local band Penelope Isles had already given him a glowing endorsement of the Isle of Man,’ said Rob.
’There has already been a huge response to this announcement and there is only a handful of tickets left on sale.
’However there will be a waiting list available when the gig has sold out.’
The Magic Numbers is a hugely-popular indie pop group who first appeared in 2006.
Tickets are £22, available by emailing [email protected]
But First Promotions is also hosting the Bluetones frontman Mark Morris during March and the Terrorvision singer Tony Wright on Saturday, May 16.
