One of the most recognisable faces of UK comedy is to make a return to the Isle of Man next year.
Romesh Ranganathan is to appear on the Royal Hall stage at the Villa Marina on Saturday, April 4, 2020.
The top-rated stand-up comedian, TV personality and presenter is currently touring the UK with his latest comedy show, ’The Cynic’s Mixtape’, most of which has sold out, and will keep him on the road until the end of May next year.
’The Cynic’s Mixtape’ promises to be his ’most brutally honest show yet’, and reinforces his position as the nation’s favourite grumpy man who rails against, well, anything.
Romesh last visited the island three years ago, when he performed his comedy touring show, ’Irrational’, to a packed out Gaiety Theatre. Since then he has branched out into the world of TV presenting and producing the part travel, part family reunion show ’Agent Provocateur’, which saw Romesh hilariously team up with his mother to explore his Sri Lankan and American family background.
He has also presented ’The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan’ and ’Judge Romesh’.
Tickets go on sale today (Thursday), priced £23.50, available from the Welcome Centre and the Villa Gaiety box office, on 600555, and online from villagaiety.com
