One person was taken to hospital after a three vehicle collision at the height of the rush hour.
Other drivers are said to have walked away with minor injuries after the crash at Braddan Bridge.
Emergency services were at the scene for around 30 minutes.
Police thanked members of the public who stopped and helped and also other home-going commuters for their patience.
Police said anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact PC 269 Schumacher of the Roads policing Unit.
The fire service said: ’At 5.18 pm an appliance together with the Enhanced Rescue Vehicle and duty officer were dispatched by the Emergency Services Joint Control Room to reports of a multi-vehicle RTC at Braddan Church Roundabout.
’On arrival crews assisted with the removal of one casualty to an awaiting ambulance as well as tending to another who was already out of their vehicle. Crews remained in attendance for approximately 30 minutes to make the scene safe and provide fire cover.’
