Sarah Kelly has been appointed as the new chairman for Manx Lottery Trust.

The trust, which awards grants to organisations for the benefit of people in the island, is a delegated partner of Big Lottery Fund UK.

Sarah has been a trustee since the beginning of 2016. She succeeds Lulu Gillow, who served as chair for the past 18 months.

Sarah said: ’I am very much looking forward to getting stuck in to the new role. It is a fantastic organisation that I am proud to be a part of - it benefits so many people in the Isle of Man and it really is an honour to be appointed as chairman.’

During Lulu’s time as chair, the Manx Lottery Trust awarded grants of more than £1mto community projects across the island.

Lulu wished Sarah good luck in the role and added: ’I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as chair of Manx Lottery Trust, and it is wonderful to have had such a positive impact in the community and been able to support so many great projects.’
