Another top UK comedian has been added to already impressive line-up of stand-up comedy set to grace the Villa Marina next year.
Comic and TV personality Sarah Millican is to appear on the Royal Hall stage on Saturday, August 14.
Having last performed on the Isle of Man during 2018, Sarah is hoping to head back out on tour with her new comedy stand-up show, ’Bobby Dazzler’.
The popular Geordie ccomedienne, who is a regular member of the TV comedy panel game circuit, including ’Eight out of 10 Cats’, ’Have I Got News for You’, ’Mock the Week’, ’You Have Been Watching’, ’Would I Lie to You?’, and ’QI’, amongst many others, has, in her own words, ’spent the last year writing jokes and growing her backside’, and is keen to return to the road after having to postpone her plans during 2020.
Among the many, varied topics she will cover throughout ’Bobby Dazzler, her sixth international tour to date, will be what happens when your mouth seals shut, trying to lose weight but only managing to lose the tip of your finger, a surprisingly funny smear test, and how truly awful a flotation tank can actually be.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday), from 10am, and are £28.50, available from the Welcome Centre or the Villa Gaiety box office, on 600555, and online from villagaiety.com
Sarah joins a comedy line-up for 2021 that also includes shows from Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, Rhod Gilbert, Milton Jones, Russell Howard, Chris Ramsey, Paul Smith and Henning Wehn, which were all postponed from this year, alongside further concerts by Jimmy Carr, Jon Richardson, Ed Byrne and Jim Davison.
