A summer concert, featuring music not normally heard inside a church, takes place in Peel Cathedral this weekend.

The Manx Saxophone Ensemble will hold an evening of light-hearted music at the Cathedral on Saturday, June, 22, from 7.30pm.

The fun and informal performance, performed by the 15 members of the group, will feature tunes from the ensemble’s wide repertoire of music, based around fast-moving swing, and will also include ballads, jazz, choral-based music and a range of film sound tracks and songs.

They will also play their own medley of cartoon theme tunes.

The concert is free to enter.
