This pothole near Andreas is certainly the deepest we’ve come across so far.

Douglas resident Juliet Thomson sent in these pictures after coming across the pothole on the B14 Bernahara Road close to the crossroads by the Sulby Giant memorial.

The huge crater is so large it’s even guarded by a scarecrow complete with roadworker’s helmet and hi-viz jacket.

Juliet said: ’We just came across it and thought surely this is going to be the deepest pothole in the island.’
