All the island's state schools will not open today.Problems with ice mean that the bus service was suspended earlier.Education bosses made the decision because of potential problems getting children to school.King William's College in Castletown is open.The bus service says all main routes are now operating but subject to delays.However, services to Foxdale, Pulrose, Anagh Coar, Lakeside Gardens, Ballabrooie, Summer Hill, Ballachrink, The Hope and Niarbyl are still suspended.There are a few problems caused by ice this morning.
The police shut Summer Hill in Douglas and Crellin's Hill in the town centre earlier.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice.
The forecast:
A very cold day with temperatures struggling to get to just 1 or 2 Celsius and combined with a strong east or northwest wind, it will feel very much colder. Some sunshine at times but a few snow showers as well through the day giving slight accumulations on the ground at all levels
Little change tomorrow and Friday, continuing very cold with strong winds and a few wintry showers, generally dry over the weekend with less strong winds and temperatures recovering a little but still well below average for the time of year.
