UPDATE at 14.03pm: Road has now reopened.
A section of the Isle of Man TT course has been closed following a road traffic collision near Glen Helen.
Police said emergency services are currently dealing with a crash near Black Dub, in the Glen Helen area.
A road closure is in place between the junctions of the Cronk-y-Voddy crossroads and Poortown Road.
Police have advised motorists to seek alternative routes where possible.
The force said: ‘Emergency Services are currently dealing with an RTC near to the Black Dub, Glen Helen area.
‘A road closure is in place between the junctions of Cronk-Y-Voddy crossroads and Poortown Road.
‘Please seek alternative route where possible. Thank you for your patience.’
The incident comes a day after the roads around the TT Mountain Course reopened following the conclusion of this year’s Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix road racing programme.
The Classic TT was brought to an early conclusion because of a forecast for deteriorating wet weather, with organisers bringing the closing day forward to Tuesday rather than Friday in an effort to make the most of the more favourable conditions.
