Four people had to be rescued after the car they were in ended up on its side following a collision in Foxdale.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash at around 3am on Tuesday.

Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service station officer Brian Quirk said: ‘Shortly after 3am on Tuesday crews from Peel and Douglas stations were mobilised to reports of four persons trapped in a car following a road traffic collision in Foxdale.

‘On arrival, crews discovered one car on its side with the occupants still inside. The car was secured using stabilisation equipment and, after being assessed for any injuries, the occupants were able to free themselves from the vehicle with assistance. Crews were in attendance for approximately 45 minutes.’

It is not believed any other vehicle was involved and there does not appear to have been any serious injuries.
