You can see trade stands of companies set up by young entrepreneurs at an even next week.

Over the last few months pupils from all the island’s state high schools have been running their own student companies supported by a volunteer business mentor.

They have raised their own capital to take a product or service to market.

On Wednesday, March 6, they will compete in the finals of the Junior Achievement Company of the Year Competition at the Palace Hotel in Douglas.

This will include a four-minute presentation to a team of judges, a panel interview and a trade stand where they will be exhibiting their products.

The trade stands are open to the public between 1.15pm and 3.30pm in the Cushag Suite at the Palace Hotel.

The winners of the competitions will represent the Isle of Man in Europe in July.
