One of the island’s long-running theatre groups will open their latest production in Douglas next month.

The Service Players will perform the play ’Communicating Doors’, written by Alan Ayckbourn, at the Gaiety Theatre from Thursday, July 4, to Saturday, July 6, opening at 7.30pm each night.

The time-twisting play, which is set in a hotel room that switches from 1974 to 2014, features an all-local cast, including Helen McKenna, Rachel Martin, Mark Britton and Karl Boveniser, along with Faye Devlin, making her debut with the company, and is directed by island-born actor and director Cliff Chapman.

Tickets are £15 for adults and £10 for children, available from the Welcome Centre or online from villagaiety.com
