Seven Isle of Man Constabulary officers have headed to Guernsey to help police this week's Island Games.

The Manx group have been sworn in as special constables and will be covering a whole host of sporting events.

A police statement added: 'The officers are looking forward to this community event and the opportunity to work closely with the local police officers in Guernsey.

'We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of the athletes representing the Isle of Man a huge good luck for their events and we hope you all get the results that you've been training so hard for.

'We are very proud and will be backing you all the way.'
