A song sung part in Manx Gaelic and Scots Gallic featured in a BBC music programme earlier this week.
BBC Alba broadcast the Scots singer Eilidh Niccarmaig performing ’Padjer Columb Killey’ (St Columba’s Prayer) in both Manx and Scottish during Mary Ann Kennedy’s show on Monday evening.
The song was broadcast as a tribute to St Columba, and to help mark and acknowledge the Colmcille1500 celebrations taking place throughout many of the Gaelic-speaking nations this year.
