The sky turned gold over Port Erin.
Shane Ridgway took this image of the stunning - and rather eerie - autumn sunset on Wednesday.Gary Salisbury at Ronaldsway Met Office explained how the phenomenon could have been caused. He said: 'There was a light shower at that time yesterday, which had very small droplets – more like drizzle.'It looks like as the sun dipped below the cloud, it’s illuminated the drizzle, giving that glow. There may well have been a rainbow in the opposite direction.'
