The Met Office has issued another yellow weather warning this morning.

Forecasters are warning of snow/ice and severe gales.

The forecast:

One or two icy patches are possible on high level roads at first today. Otherwise, a few wintry showers are likely early on, particularly over the north of the island, but these will soon become isolated, allowing bright and sunny intervals to develop for the rest of the day. Fresh to strong westerly winds, with the maximum temperature a cold 6 Celsius.

Tonight will then be breezy, with clear intervals and isolated showers. Minimum temperatures will be mainly around 3 Celsius, but near or sub-zero on the hills. Then tomorrow will be bright with sunshine and isolated wintry showers, and fairly strong westerly winds.

A fine and dry day on Saturday, with much lighter winds, then wet and quite windy on Sunday.
