Snow covered the beach at Port Erin this afternoon as the village was hit by a wave of snow showers.And police tweeted images of the 'white stuff' falling with the message: 'Proper snow down in Port Erin. Take care.'
Here’s the latest weather forecast from the Met men and women at Ronaldsway, issued at 4pm: ’Cold this evening and overnight with a fresh to strong east or northeast winds and a few snow showers, temperatures 2 or 3 Celsius at first, dipping to minus 3 overnight.
’A very cold day tomorrow with temperatures struggling to get above1 or 2 Celsius and feeling very much colder in a strong east wind, some snow showers but amounts are likely to be small.’The outlook for the rest of the week is : 'Continuing very cold through the rest of the week with strong east winds and a few snow showers from time to time.'
