An island company marked the end of lockdown by giving staff the day off.
The 30-strong team at Athol Street based finance firm the MAC Group, were allowed an extra day’s holiday.
Managing director Nigel Gregg said it would give people the chance to meet up with friends and family without any restrictions hanging over them.
’It was also a way of saying a little thank you to them’ added Mr Gregg. ’They are a great group of people and we have all faced various challenges recently.’
He also believes that it is important there is the proper balance maintained between work and personal lives.
So the MAC Group kept its office doors firmly closed yesterday (Monday).
Mr Gregg spoke to the Examiner from the King Edward Bay Golf Club in Onchan where he and seven colleagues decided to split into two teams to tee off and enjoy a round together on what turned out to be a sunny Monday.
Mr Gregg believes that looking after staff’s mental and physical health is an important issue.
