This morning’s Steam Packet sailing from Douglas to Heysham has been delayed.
The Ben-my-Chree will leave the Isle of Man at 10.30am instead of 8.45am.
The return will set off at 3.30pm.
Last night’s sailings were cancelled.
The disruption was caused by stormy weather.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain and gales.
The forecast:
Very wet and windy this morning, with spells of heavy rain and gales. The south or southeast winds will gust to between 50 and 60 mph, possibly 65 mph in exposed locations, giving a risk of travel disruption and minor damage in places. Standing water may also be an issue on some roads for a while, but around midday or early afternoon the rain will clear away as the winds ease, the winds then continuing to fall lighter through the rest of the afternoon. Maximum temperature 11 Celsius.
Tonight one or two scattered showers may develop, then tomorrow will be a bright day with sunny intervals, but also a risk of a few scattered heavy showers. Quite breezy tomorrow, with fresh to strong south or southwest winds.
Showers likely at first on Thursday, these then dying out to allow sunny intervals to develop.
