The Steam Packet is warning that this evening’s 7.45pm sailing from Douglas to Heysham might be disrupted or cancelled because of forecast windy weather.
A decision will be made by 5.30pm.
The forecast from the Met Office:
Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, this morning but going into the afternoon the heavy rain will clear away but remaining cloudy and damp. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 12°C. Then with rain developing for a time overnight into Friday with winds increasing.
Friday will be often dry with some brightness or sunshine at times, however with a few isolated showers carried on strong to gale force westerly winds.
Scattered showers for Saturday merging into a spell of rain for early afternoon, then largely clearing overnight but with winds remaining a strong to near-gale force westerly.
