Today's Steam Packet sailings have been cancelled due "Covid-19 related matters".

All of the Ben-my-Chree’s scheduled crossings for the next 24 hours have been cancelled.

This includes today’s 8.45am and 7.45pm to Heysham, and the return 14:15 and Saturday 2.15am sailing to Douglas.

The Arrow will undertake the Friday evening freight crossing

The Ben-my-Chree will sail again from Saturday morning, with overnight freight sailings due to be undertaken by the Arrow.

Steam Packet chief executive Mark Woodward said: ‘Due to two members of our crew being contacted by track and trace yesterday evening, we have had to readjust our sailings schedule for the next couple of days.

'To ensure lifeline freight links are maintained we have the brought in the Arrow, and the Ben-my-Chree will be back to cover daytime sailings from tomorrow.

‘As ever, the safety and welfare of our passengers and crew remains our top priority and procedures and protocols are in place to reduce any spread on board our vessels. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our passengers and appreciate their understanding in this matter.’
