Brogan Keith Misselbrook, aged 19, of Murray’s Road, Douglas, has appeared in court charged with four offences.
He is accused of theft, resisting arrest, and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
The offences are alleged to have been committed on August 17.
He was represented in court by duty advocate Casey Houareau, who asked for an adjournment until September 14, saying that Mr Misselbrook wanted time to instruct James Peterson.
Bail continues.
