Many of the island’s potters were all fired up for their annual arts fair, which drew the crowds to view the art works on display.

Hundreds of people packed themselves into Braddan Church Hall for the Manx Potters’ Fair to see the wide variety of wares created more than 15 local artisan artists and producers, which took place on Saturday.

Potters and ceramic artists such as Felicity Wood, Kathryn Cain, Sally Black, Helen Almond, Celine Appleyard, Lina Quirk, Colleen Corlett, Gerald Lomax, Carol Pooley and Susie Heckles, amongst many others put their hand-made goods on display.

These ranged from small ornaments, candle holders, decorative plaques, wall hangings, quirky creations and unique Christmas decorations through to plant pots, plates, mugs and other items of lovingly-handcrafted kitchenware.

The event was organised by Anna Clucas, who also had a display of her original work.
