The number of resident taxpayers registered in the Isle of Man has gone up in the past five years.
In April 2016, the number stood at 74,493. That compares with 74,010 in 2015, 73,950 in 2014, 74,011 in 2013, 73,856 in 2012 and 73,959 in 2011.
Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan said the figures were people registered for part of each tax year and included those who had moved to/from the island, school leavers and those who died.
For the current tax year, he added, there were 500 more taxpayers with ongoing registrations, compared with the same time last year.
