A Manx charity campaigner has been forced to reschedule her fundraising concert until later this year.

Singer and stage star Alexandra Slater will now host her grand charity show ’The Greatest Variety Show - Time To Say Goodbye’ at the Gaiety Theatre on Saturday, August 28, during the bank holiday weekend.

Alexandra was originally all set to open the show on March 6 when the unwelcome news of the latest lockdown measures forced it to be called off with only days to go.

This show will be the third time Alexandra, the Hospice youth ambassador, has hosted her variety show which features a cast of local stars.

The shows raise money for Hospice IoM and will be Alexandra’s final show before leaving the island to join the London School of Musical Theatre.

’Obviously I was gutted to have the show called off, but we can’t help what’s happened,’ said Alexandra.

’The show in August will essentially be the same. ’Unfortunately Lorcan O’Mahony will be getting married that day, so he can’t make it!

’However, I’m sure it will still be an amazing show.’

All tickets sold previously will remain valid for the new date.
