British pop rock band The Vamps are set to take to the Villa stage next week.

The four-piece will perform their latest hits on Monday.

Since The Vamps burst onto the scene, they have had consistent Top Ten hits and received critical acclaim.

The band will be performing a variety of their hits from previous albums, including their latest single ’Missing You’.

To date, the biggest venue they have performed in is the O2 Arena in London with a capacity of 20,000, which they have sold out four times.

Their musical career as a band began in 2012 when they formed after James McVey, the guitarist, decided to scour YouTube for musicians.

Bradley Simpson, singer, was the first to be recruited, and they wrote a few songs together.

Not long after Connor Ball, bassist for the group, and Tristan Evans, the drummer, completed the line-up.

The British pop rock band’s first two songs, ’Wild Heart’ and ’Can We Dance’, were posted to YouTube before they were picked up by McFly.

In 2013 the band was the supporting act for McFly’s Memory Lane Tour which helped them gain traction with their music.

They shot to stardom in 2013 when they were signed to Mercury Records and released their debut single ’Can We Dance’ which made it to number two on the UK Singles Chart.

From there, they went on to release their debut album ’Meet The Vamps’ in 2014, closely followed by ’Wake Up’, their 2015 album.

It was in that year that they launched their own record label, Steady Records.

The Vamps have released three studio albums during their six-year career, the first two of which are both certified Gold in the UK.

Their latest album, ’Night & Day’, released in 2017, scored them their first number 1 on the Official UK Albums Chart.

An EP was released in April this year, ’Missing You’, which consists of two new tracks, an acoustic version of ’All The Lies’ and another recent single with Krept and Konan called ’Right Now’.

The boys have been continuously touring since they formed and were not long ago announced as the first band ever to headline London’s O2 Arena five years in a row.

Recently, they embarked on their ’Four Corners’ UK and Ireland 2019 tour which runs for five weeks until they wrap up in Bournemouth on June 1.

The concert takes place at the Villa Marina’s Royal Hall on Monday, June 3 from 8pm.

Seats are almost sold out.

But some tickets for The Vamps are available from the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal and the Villa Marina box office, on 600555, or online from villagaiety.com
