One the UK’s top pop rock groups have been announced to appear on the island during TT Week next year.

The Vamps are to perform on the Royal Hall stage at the Villa Marina on Monday, June 3, and will join the indie pop group The Feeling on the live-up of entertainment for the fortnight of racing.

The British four-piece features Brad Simpson on lead vocals and guitar, James McVey on lead guitar and vocals, bass player Connor Ball and drummer Tristan Evans, who also lends a hand with the vocals.

The prolific group have released three albums to date, with their first, ’Meet The Vamps’, coming out in 2014.

This album produced three successful singles, ’Can We Dance’, ’Wild Heart’ and ’Last Night’, all of which reached the top of the UK singles charts.

They also released ’Somebody to You’ featuring the American singer Demi Lovato

’Wake Up’ followed in 2015, selling nearly 30,000 copies in the first week, and shortly after that the group recorded a version of ’Kung Fu Fighting’ for the soundtrack to the film ’Kung Fu Panda 3’

They released their third album, a double release called ’Night and Day’, featuring one ’Night album’ and one ’Day’ album, in 2017.

The Vamps have toured alongside, amongst others, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, The Wanted, Little Mix and McFly and, this year, James took part in ’I’m a Celebrity’ on ITV.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday), priced £40 for downstairs and £45 for upstairs, available from the Welcome Centre and the Villa Marina box office, on 600555, or online from villagaiety.com
