Three newly-appointed Ballaugh Commissioners have attended their first meeting.
Liberal Vannin chair Paul Weatherall, Rachel Andrew and Robert Perry were the only ones to stand uncontested in a by-election, which was held after the July general local authority election left three seats unfilled.
They now join chairman Steven Curphey and vice-chair Liza Nicholson.
The meeting was mostly procedural and a welcome to the new members, but also discussed were routine planning applications, including two recent additions to the Area Plan for the North and West.
Mr Weatherall said that he queried the need for residential development on these sites, which are both greenfield.
There was also discussion on how many defibrillators Ballaugh needs and a Bus Vannin report.
Meanwhile, in the neighbouring parish of Michael, nominations have closed and an election is set for December 14 to fill an empty seat - which had been left after Barry Murphy stood down for personal reasons, just months after he had been elected.
On the ballot are two candidates who unsuccessfully stood for Ayre & Michael’s MHK seats in this year’s general election - Duncan Livingstone and Boussougou Sosthene.
The polling station will be Michael District Commissioners Offices, Community Civic Centre.
